Finatem Acquires DWSI Dresdner Wach- und Sicherungsinstitut GmbH

Finatem headed the acquisition of DWSI Dresdner Wach- und Sicherungsinstitut GmbH, a Dresden-based security company, from Arndt Sicherheit und Service GmbH, Nuremberg, and a group of private investors through its portfolio company DNZ Deutsche Notrufzentrale und Sicherheitsdienste Holding GmbH, Bielefeld.

DWSI is one of the market leaders in the security services industry in Saxony. From its headquarters in Dresden and six additional branches, the company earns sales of 13 million with more than 800 employees. Since its foundation in 1990, DWSI has shown continuous growth based on a stable and diversified customer base. For visitors to Dresden, DWSI guards can be seen at most famous places such as the Semper Opera House, the Royal Palace or the Frauenkirche.

Mr and Mrs Feuerstein have managed the company since it was formed and have made it a benchmark in the industry in terms of market presence and profitability. The company's excellent reputation is reflected by their responsibility as board members of BDWS Bundesverband Deutscher Wach- und Sicherheitsunternehmen e.V., Bad Homburg, the national security services association.

In 2006 Finatem acquired the DNZ group, which at that time comprised seven regional security services companies. Further acquisitions were an integral part of the group strategy from the beginning to enhance regional coverage. With the acquisition of DWSI, the DNZ group has become one of the market leaders in Saxony. The DNZ group's turnover has now reached nearly 70 million, which makes it one of the leading independent market players in Germany. In addition to organic growth, further selective add-ons are envisaged.
